Noah Shem Klein is a Philadelphia-based artist who earned his MFA in 2003 from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts following post-baccalaureate study, and his BFA in Painting, cum laude, from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University. At PAFA he received the Samuel T. Freeman Memorial Scholarship, was nominated for the Joan Mitchell Foundation Award and the Dedalus Foundation MFA Fellowship, and served as editor of the Graduate Journal of Contemporary Art Criticism. Klein has presented solo and group exhibitions throughout Pennsylvania, including in Philadelphia, and has worked as chief studio apprentice to Osvaldo Romberg and with the Mural Arts Program.
