Raya Safir

Russian/French, 1909–2004

Raya Safir was born in the USSR in 1912. She arrived in France in 1931 with her brother Alexandre Hinkis (painter, founder of "metaclassicism"). She studied at the Beaux-Arts de Toulouse from 1941 to 1945 in the studio of master Raymond Espinasse
