About the Artist
Raymond Spector
Little is known about Raymond Spector whose works were found in a New York City storage facility. These paintings were largely from the 1950's, with many being skyline views of the city. Spector had a color sensibility that reframes the way we view a palette. Acid yellows and chocolate browns may reside next to plum and olive and electric blue, It's this vibrant willingness to shock the viewer that drew us into this mysterious collection.
