Yves Lieou (1924-2013) Born in Shanghai, China, Yves Lieou immigrated to New York City in 1949. After transitioning from dental studies to business, he worked for Air France airlines, eventually heading their Chicago reservations operations before returning to New York for the fabric import business. Following his retirement in the 1980s to western Massachusetts, Lieou pursued his passion for photography, exploring various mediums and achieving recognition through gallery exhibitions in France, Germany, and Hong Kong. His silver gelatin color photographs exemplify Lieou's keen eye for urban landscapes and street art, capturing the dynamic intersection of city life and artistic expression that defined his photographic work during his retirement years.
