Paul Zenian (1935-2021), born in New York City, began his career as a physicist before turning to art. He earned his MFA from the University of Michigan. Based in Dearborn, Michigan, he exhibited widely across the United States from the 1960s onward, with his work included in local, regional, and national collections. Zenian also served as an Art Instructor at the University of Michigan and Washtenaw Community College, where he created the public sculpture Gateless Gateway. His legacy endures as both a dedicated artist and influential educator.
